Superintendent MEM-2

About the role

The Superintendent MEM-2 leads and coordinates maintenance activities for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Reporting to senior operations, the role manages maintenance teams, contractors, and work execution processes while upholding safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage maintenance teams across HME fleets, including haul trucks, excavators, loaders, graders, dozers, drills, water carts and ancillary mining equipment.
• Plan, prioritize and coordinate daily maintenance schedules, planned maintenance, component change‑outs, shutdown work and breakdown repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement strategies to improve fleet reliability, availability and utilization.
• Oversee resources, materials, tools and contractors supporting maintenance activities.
• Drive equipment failure investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Develop team capability through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
• Monitor maintenance costs, contribute to budget planning and control.
• Analyze fleet maintenance KPIs such as availability, utilization, MTBF, MTTR, compliance and cost performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading maintenance teams in a heavy equipment or mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources and contractor relationships.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
