Systems Maintenance and Processes Planner

About the role

The Systems Maintenance and Processes Planner is responsible for reviewing, maintaining and continuously improving preventive and corrective maintenance plans for critical mining equipment. This role supports equipment reliability, optimises performance and aligns maintenance activities with operational objectives in a remote mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies based on Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) or Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methodologies.
• Create Standard Work Procedures for critical plants, areas or operations.
• Identify and manage spare parts requirements to support asset life.
• Update and report data using the maintenance management system.
• Coordinate ordering of stores and ensure scheduled tasks are completed on time.
• Maintain technical competence in operating, diagnosing and maintaining equipment.
• Provide training and coaching to national team members on work‑management processes.
• Promote a positive safety culture and uphold high health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Heavy Equipment Engineering, a trade qualification or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role.
• Proficiency with SAP or a similar computerised maintenance management system.
• Strong numerical analysis and data validation abilities.
• Project‑management and problem‑solving capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership and decision‑making skills.
• Fluent in English; French is desirable.
• Willingness to work in remote mining environments and travel as required.
