Technical FinTech Analyst (API & Open Banking)

About the role

Aqovia is seeking a Technical FinTech Analyst to join its fast‑paced software engineering team. The role focuses on designing, validating and supporting robust, scalable RESTful APIs for FinTech, Banking‑as‑a‑Service and Open Banking initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Architect RESTful APIs using OpenAPI (Swagger) and JSON Schema in an API‑first approach.
• Write clear, estimable user stories with testable acceptance criteria in JIRA/Confluence.
• Collaborate with engineers to design data models, messaging contracts and event‑driven microservices.
• Validate APIs with Postman or Insomnia and model processes using BPMN/UML.
• Define BDD test scenarios in Gherkin and generate test datasets.
• Coach junior analysts, support QA and delivery teams, and produce customer‑facing documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering FinTech APIs, BaaS platforms and Open Banking solutions.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
• Experience with agile ceremonies and stakeholder management.
