Technical Supervisor – Komatsu Engine Specialist

About the role

The Technical Supervisor will lead the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Komatsu engines across a range of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers and dump trucks. Based in Guinea, the role combines hands‑on technical work with coaching of workshop staff to ensure high‑quality service and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex engine malfunctions using specialised diagnostic tools.
• Perform routine maintenance, engine overhauls, component rebuilding and system adjustments.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other technicians, service departments and customers.
• Document all diagnostic and repair activities, complete reports and maintain accurate records.
• Promote and enforce safe workshop practices and company policies.
• Maintain professional, confidential contact with customers throughout the repair process.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Mechanical Engineering or four years apprenticeship is a plus.
• Minimum five years experience as a workshop or field technician in diesel engine repair or heavy‑equipment mechanics.
• Proven training or certification on Komatsu‑Cummins engine series is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
