Technology for Development Associate (G-6)

About the role

The Technology for Development Associate provides day‑to‑day operational, technical and coordination support to UNICEF Guinea’s Technology for Development (T4D) portfolio. Working in a context with limited ICT infrastructure and varied digital literacy, you will help identify, deploy and sustain digital solutions that improve programme delivery across health, nutrition, WASH, education, child protection and social policy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational T4D support and manage ICT service requests.
• Deploy digital solutions in the field and configure systems for end‑users.
• Ensure cybersecurity, data protection and system compliance.
• Coordinate the T4D portfolio, maintain knowledge management tools and document processes.
• Deliver capacity‑building sessions and user training for staff and partners.
• Engage with government ICT counterparts and other stakeholders.
• Support digital innovation and emerging technology initiatives.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education; a diploma or university degree in IT, Computer Science, Digital Systems, Telecommunications or a related field is highly desirable.
• Minimum six (6) years of practical IT experience, including ICT systems administration, mobile data‑collection tools and user support.
• Experience working in development or humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme staff and external partners.
