Territory Manager

About the role

The Territory Manager is responsible for driving retail site performance across a defined geographical area. You will work closely with retailers to implement Shell’s Customer Commitment, improve sales, and ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify performance gaps at retail sites and advise retailers on tools, processes and support to close those gaps.
• Coach, motivate and manage retailer relationships to maximise sales development while protecting Shell’s interests.
• Conduct regular site reviews using the Territory Manager Site Review (TMSR) and the Call Planning Cycle tool.
• Develop and monitor retailer business plans, P&L statements and action plans to meet sales and cost targets.
• Ensure retailers implement the Customer Commitment and adhere to HSSE, contractual and operational standards.
• Maintain a retailer master plan, participate in recruitment, and develop succession pipelines within the territory.
• Protect Shell’s reputation by ensuring retailer actions align with corporate standards.

Required profile

• Strong commercial acumen with experience in retail or site management.
• Proven ability to coach and develop retailer teams.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess performance data and financial statements.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory and conduct on‑site visits.
