Workshop Foreman – Rebuild Operations

About the role

The Workshop Foreman (Contremaitre) will lead the rebuild workshop for mining equipment, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to the highest quality standards and in full safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise utilisation of workshop labour and resources to meet operational targets.
• Assist the workshop manager in short‑ and mid‑term planning, considering parts delivery schedules.
• Monitor daily progress against the plan and supervise technicians to produce quality work.
• Allocate job cards, match tasks to skill sets and ensure compliance with Komatsu Standard Procedures.
• Oversee proper use of RESO software by staff.
• Provide daily operational reports, timesheets and component testing documentation to the Senior Supervisor.
• Maintain detailed records, photographs and labour logs for every job and track parts consumption.
• Deliver on‑the‑job training, technical advice and promote a zero‑tolerance safety culture.

Required profile

• Craft or advanced certificate in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a fully equipped REMAN workshop handling mining machine components.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics and electricity, and familiarity with rebuild facility procedures.
• Good computer skills (MS‑Word, Excel, MS‑Project) and ability to work within a team.
• Customer‑focused attitude, respect for leadership and excellent verbal and written communication.
