Contract Engineer – Maintenance Services

About the role

The Contract Engineer – Maintenance Services supports the Process Plant, Power Plant and Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Maintenance and Operations teams in Guinea. This national role is responsible for the technical and commercial management of maintenance service contracts, ensuring safe, reliable and value‑for‑money service delivery across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and govern maintenance service contracts, managing scopes of work, technical specifications and service deliverables.
• Assist with tender evaluations, provide technical input and prepare contract variations and amendments.
• Coordinate with Process Plant, Power Plant and HME teams to plan and execute routine, shutdown and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure contractor resourcing, competencies and work methods meet site and contract requirements.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and service levels, track performance issues and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor contract financials, track spend, commitments and accruals, and review contractor invoices for technical accuracy.
• Identify cost‑control and efficiency improvement opportunities within maintenance contracts.

Required profile

• Must be able to work on‑site in Guinea (national Guinean role).
• Experience supporting Process Plant, Power Plant and Heavy Mobile Equipment maintenance operations.
• Ability to coordinate closely with internal teams and external service providers.
