Finance Accountant

About the role

The Finance Accountant will manage the organization’s financial transactions, prepare accurate reports, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards. This role supports strategic decision‑making by providing insightful financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts in line with IFRS.
• Reconcile bank statements and secure proper documentation and approvals.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Support audits by supplying required documentation and explanations.
• Prepare and file tax returns (income tax, VAT, etc.) ensuring local compliance.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and conduct periodic asset verifications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on financial initiatives and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Inter CA qualification is mandatory.
• 4‑6 years of experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS and GAAP.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
