Product Expert - Excavators

About the role

BIA Group sells, rents and provides after-sales services for equipment used in public works, mines, quarries and transport, operating in Europe, Africa and Asia. As Product Expert for excavators, you ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standard of quality and reliability within the timeframe set out in the project plan.

Key responsibilities

• Help the Senior Supervisor and planning team prepare labour and resources to meet operational targets, and assist the planner manager with short- and mid-term operation planning, including parts delivery
• Follow up daily the work done against the plan, allocate job cards and manage technicians so that jobs match their skills
• Ensure work meets Komatsu Standard Procedures and check the proper use of Komatsu ICT tools
• Give daily reports, timesheets and reports on core assessments, component assembly and testing and PM clinics to the Senior Supervisor or Fleet Manager
• Keep detailed records and photos of every job, routine machine inspections, labour records and parts consumption for warranty submissions and planning
• Train subordinates on the job, give technical advice and maintain safe working practices in the field and in the workshop

Required profile

• At least 5 years' experience on Komatsu big excavators (PC2000-8, PC3000-6, PC4000-11, PC5500-11) is a plus; an advanced certificate and overseas experience in West Africa are a plus
• Experience with rebuild facility procedures and component removal and installation on big Komatsu machines is a plus
• Customer-focused, respectful of leadership and team members, able to work in a team with prior project experience
• Good verbal and written English; basic French is a plus

Required skills

• Very good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Project and SAP are a plus
