Site Services Superintendent

About the role

The Site Services Superintendent is responsible for the strategic planning, maintenance and safe operation of all non‑process infrastructure on the site. This includes utilities, water and sewage treatment, ground transport, cranes, security and cleaning services. The role ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental standards while supporting operational efficiency and workforce well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of non‑process facilities such as utilities, water/sewage treatment, ground transportation, cranes, security and cleaning.
• Lead HSE compliance across all non‑process infrastructure, fostering a zero‑harm safety culture through briefings and audits.
• Plan and manage site services budgets and monitor performance indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiency.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes, using SAP for scheduling and supply‑chain tracking.
• Support shutdown preparedness and execution, and manage relationships with suppliers and external service providers.
• Participate in the creation and rollout of site policies and procedures, and respond to emergencies to ensure service continuity.
• Train, mentor and develop staff to maintain high competence and motivation.

Required profile

• Degree in management, industrial engineering, administration or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in operations or general services management.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards and local regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage complex situations.
