Chief of Party I – Food for Education (MGD) – Guinea

About the role

The Chief of Party I will lead the McGovern Dole Food for Education (MGD/FFE) project in Guinea, ensuring high‑quality school‑feeding programming that serves poor and vulnerable communities. This senior position provides overall strategic direction, operational oversight, and risk management for the donor‑funded initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of MGD/FFE project implementation, aligning activities with donor expectations and CRS quality standards.
• Serve as the primary liaison with USDA and other public, private, and non‑government stakeholders.
• Oversee budget management, financial tracking, and compliance with USDA grant requirements.
• Coordinate programmatic and operational teams to ensure seamless delivery and impact.
• Manage senior staff, conduct performance assessments, and develop staffing plans.
• Monitor national and regional risks, enforce safety, security, safeguarding, and protection policies.
• Develop and approve communication strategies and materials in line with branding guidelines.
• Build and maintain relationships with national and local education authorities and consortium partners.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in large‑scale humanitarian or development projects.
• Strong background in managing multi‑disciplinary teams and complex budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with government agencies, donors, and partner organizations.
• Experience in risk mitigation, staff safety, and safeguarding compliance.
