Consultant(e) National(e) en Ingénierie Civile et Suivi des Travaux

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a National Consultant to provide specialised technical support for civil engineering design, quality control and construction monitoring of a joint border post in Kassapo, Kamsar sub‑prefecture. The assignment is part of the "Strengthening border management and community development in the coastal region of Boké, Guinea" project funded by the Kingdom of Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review technical designs for the border post infrastructure ensuring compliance with national standards.
• Supervise construction activities, conduct on‑site inspections and enforce quality assurance procedures.
• Coordinate with the Border Police, Customs, Maritime Gendarmerie and Navy to align operational requirements with construction works.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Monitor project schedule and budget, supporting procurement and contract management as needed.

Required profile

• Guinean national with a university degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in supervising public‑sector construction projects, preferably infrastructure for border or security facilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑agency environment and communicate effectively in French.
• Willingness to be based onsite in Boke for the duration of the assignment.
