Protection Officer (P)

About the role

The Protection Officer will support IOM Guinea in delivering high‑quality protection programming, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and international standards. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Head of Programme, the role coordinates protection and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) activities across the mission.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic, technical and managerial coordination for IOM Guinea’s protection portfolio.
• Oversee implementation of protection programmes, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and IOM policies.
• Ensure coherence, complementarity and alignment between protection and MHPSS interventions.
• Collaborate with Country Office, Regional Office and Headquarters units to maintain consistent standards.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in protection programming and coordination within humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to ensure donor compliance and adherence to international protection standards.
• Strong collaboration skills with internal and external partners.
