Schedulers - Mobile Equipment Maintenance (3 positions)

About the role

Rio Tinto is hiring three schedulers for its Simandou Iron Ore Project in Guinea, based in Beyla. The schedulers develop and maintain optimized maintenance programs for heavy mobile equipment, ensuring planned maintenance work is prioritized, coordinated and scheduled so that equipment availability, maintenance efficiency and resource use are maximised while supporting safe operations. They report to the Maintenance Equipment Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage maintenance programs by developing daily, weekly and short-term schedules and turning approved maintenance plans into execution programs.
• Optimise resource use and equipment availability by coordinating planned shutdowns and ensuring parts, tools and resources are available.
• Ensure planned work is completed effectively by checking preparation, monitoring compliance and managing resource conflicts.
• Coordinate stakeholders and priorities through scheduling meetings, communicating program changes and arbitrating priorities by risk-based approach.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards and support major shutdowns, fleet maintenance campaigns and operational readiness activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Maintenance Engineering, with a recognised certification in planning, project management, lifting or maintenance management systems.
• At least three years of maintenance scheduling experience in mining, heavy industry or mobile fleet maintenance.
• Solid knowledge of reliability-centred maintenance principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisation and prioritisation skills, with excellent French and English.

Required skills

• Maintenance management systems such as SAP, AMT or equivalent.
• Microsoft Project.
