Manager, Expatriate Services & In‑Country Rewards

About the role

Simfer is looking for an experienced Manager to lead Expatriate Services and In‑Country Rewards & Benefits for its Human Resources team in Conakry, Guinea. Reporting to the Senior Manager Human Resources, this residential position will ensure operational excellence, compliance and a world‑class employee experience as the company transitions into operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full expatriate employee lifecycle – mobilization, onboarding, assignment management, extensions, redeployment and off‑boarding.
• Ensure compliance with immigration, visa, work‑permit and residency requirements.
• Act as primary liaison with Global Mobility, immigration authorities and external service providers.
• Oversee expatriate housing, relocation and onboarding programmes.
• Manage expatriate employee‑relations matters and advise leaders on assignment issues.
• Govern and continuously improve Guinea‑specific remuneration and benefits programmes.
• Administer local benefits such as medical insurance, transportation, housing allowances and other provisions.
• Lead annual remuneration reviews, salary benchmarking and market competitiveness assessments.
• Provide workforce analytics on employee costs, retention risks, benefits utilisation and market trends.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing expatriate services and compensation/benefits programmes.
• Strong knowledge of immigration, visa and work‑permit processes in Africa.
• Ability to work closely with HR leaders, business stakeholders, authorities and service providers.
• Excellent analytical skills to deliver workforce insights and market assessments.
• Leadership experience with a focus on coaching and developing a team.
