Field Equipment Mechanic

About the role

We are looking for a Field Equipment Mechanic to deliver effective and efficient technical interventions on equipment used in public works, mines, quarries and transport. The role ensures optimum customer satisfaction by adhering to BIA’s maintenance contracts and SLA agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Erect, configure, modify, maintain, troubleshoot and repair field equipment according to shop manuals and repair processes.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance following OEM standards and BIA instructions.
• Follow planning instructions, respect reporting requirements and represent BIA’s values on site.
• Maintain safe working conditions for all personnel, visitors and subcontractors.
• Comply with BIA’s HSE procedures, identify and report health, safety and environmental issues.
• Participate in mandatory HSE events and stop work when serious danger is identified.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and reporting protocols.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Willingness to work onsite in Guinea and collaborate with a multicultural team.
• Proactive attitude with the capacity to take initiative.
