Site Supervisor - Construction

About the role

Careers International is recruiting two experienced Site Supervisors to oversee daily construction and interior fit-out activities on project sites in Guinea, West Africa. The successful candidates supervise site teams, coordinate different trades, monitor progress, maintain quality standards and ensure work is completed safely and in line with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities and manpower, allocating work to workers, foremen and subcontractors
• Monitor construction activities against approved drawings, specifications and schedules, and ensure work finishes on time
• Inspect workmanship and maintain quality standards; check materials and their use and storage
• Coordinate civil, finishing, MEP and interior fit-out activities
• Monitor manpower attendance and productivity, and identify and report site issues to the Project Manager
• Ensure workers follow safety rules, maintain housekeeping and minimise material wastage
• Prepare daily progress updates and reports, support inspections, testing and project handover

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or a related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant site supervision experience
• Experience in building construction, residential, commercial or interior fit-out projects; villas, hotels or similar projects preferred
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and site practices
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
• Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Willingness to relocate to Guinea, West Africa
