Technician GET (Ground Engaging Tools)

About the role

We are looking for a Technician specialized in Ground Engaging Tools (GET) to provide effective technical interventions on equipment used in public works, mining and quarry operations in Guinea. The role involves ensuring equipment reliability and customer satisfaction under BIA’s maintenance contracts and SLA agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Erect, configure, modify, maintain, troubleshoot and repair field equipment according to shop manuals and OEM standards.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximise equipment availability.
• Follow planning instructions, complete required reporting and represent BIA’s values on site.
• Maintain safe working conditions, comply with HSE procedures, report any health, safety or environmental issues and use appropriate PPE.
• Participate in mandatory HSE events and halt work when serious danger is identified.

Required profile

• Craft or advanced certificate in a relevant technical field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics and hands‑on experience with field equipment.
• Good computer skills, including MS‑Word, Excel and Project.
• Customer‑focused attitude, good verbal and written communication, and ability to work within a team.
• Prior experience on project‑based work is desirable.
