About the role
Rio Tinto SimFer is offering two academic internships in Logistics and Procurement as part of the Simandou Iron Ore Project in Guinea. Interns will work in a dynamic, multicultural environment, supporting the supply‑chain and purchasing functions of one of the world’s largest mining projects.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the logistics and procurement teams with day‑to‑day operational tasks.
- Support the preparation and tracking of purchase orders and delivery schedules.
- Contribute to high‑value‑added activities that improve supply‑chain efficiency.
Required profile
- Guinean nationality.
- Enrolled in a recognized university pursuing a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Management, Economics or a related field.
- Internship agreement issued by the educational institution.
- Proficiency with common computer tools, especially Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, communication and organisational abilities, with a rigorous and curious attitude.
- English language knowledge is an advantage.
